FORMULA MARINE SERVICES is an independent division of Formula Cruisers specialising in all manner of refit, repairs, repowering and general maintenance work. Operating from within 4000 sq m premises at Hobsonville in Auckland, FMS facilities include a purpose built, temperature controlled paint spray booth able to take boats up to 60 feet as well as ample under cover storage and hard stand areas.
With a complete range of qualified tradesmen in house including naval architects, boat builders, engineers, electricians, cabinet
makers, plumbers, painters and CAD staff, Formula Marine Services handle any project, large or small.

Current and recent projects
Bladerunner 10m Coastal Patrol Boat
This brand new coastal patrol boat will be based off the West Coast of Taranaki. FMS have been contracted to do a complete paint job including preparation, top coats and sign writing using Altex Elite paint systems
  
SENIOR 13m
Designed by Grant Senior “Latitude” is in the factory for a complete exterior repaint including topsides, deck and anti foul. In addition in preparation for extended offshore cruising we are servicing all her deck gear, checking the keel bolts, and replacing the shaft bearings and seals.
  
Formula 5000
Built by Formula Cruisers and launched in 2002, “Cool Change” under went a refit including a total exterior repaint, installation of new electronics, clears and engine servicing.
 
Stewart 34
“Panacea” received a full exterior repaint on the hull including antifoul, before being delivered back to her owner to complete the cabin tidy up and rerigging.
 
Class 2 Offshore Powerboat
After a rough round of the national powerboat championships “Rayglass” underwent structural repairs to the hull. Time was of the essence and the work was completed between rounds to ensure that this successful team did not miss out on any valuable championship points.
Formula 45
“Erewhon” came in for an extensive refit including the design and fitting of a new hardtop to replace the original open fly bridge with clears, complete exterior repaint, supply and installation of a new electronics package, and an engine service including realignment.
Etchells 22
This very popular racing yacht was converted for more stately sailing with the addition of a cabin house, as well as a full exterior repaint.
 
49r Sailing Dinghy
A very popular Olympic class dinghy, production of the 49r worldwide has increased accordingly. FMS recently built complete new moulds to the International standards required for this high caliber racing yacht.
